Driving Mobility of Tomorrow: innos at the innocam.NRW Mobility Meeting in Cologne
On November 20, this year’s Mobility Meeting of the innocam.NRW competence network took place in Cologne. Around one hundred professionals from business, science and municipalities discussed how solutions for automated and connected mobility in North Rhine-Westphalia can be scaled and transitioned into real-world operations. The exchange made one thing clear: technological innovation only becomes effective when it is accompanied by cooperation, openness and a willingness to learn together.
Cooperation as a Success Factor
Automated and connected mobility requires secure and reliable technologies. Even more important, however, is close collaboration among the stakeholders involved. The courage to implement, clear communication and the willingness to share experiences are central building blocks. Many of the examples presented demonstrated that even small, easily understood benefits can have a strong impact.
Insights into Current Developments
The Mobility Meeting highlighted how diverse the dynamics already are in the field of automated and connected mobility. The discussions showed, among other things:
- Progress happens when technology, cooperation and courage come together.
- Many innovations do not deliver an immediate return but create tangible benefits for users.
- Good communication is crucial to build acceptance for new mobility offerings.
- First-mover municipalities, industry players and scale-ups are visibly advancing the topic.
- The exchange of real-world experience is indispensable for bringing solutions into practice.
- Networking people and competencies remains the strongest lever for broad implementation.
