In the Age of Artificial Intelligence, Human Interaction Remains Irreplaceable
Have you ever wondered how quickly a year passes? For me, it's always evident when the new year kicks off with our innos Days. The first weeks after the turn of the year brim with incredible potential, allowing me to dive into all projects and tasks with idea-laden energy. Experiencing the collective enthusiasm of the entire team is a great joy, promising an exciting start to 2025.
A Year That Will Bring Many Changes
2025 is set to bring significant changes. The upcoming federal election in just over five weeks could have a lasting impact on the political and social climate, potentially affecting our industry as well. However, behind the current uncertainty, I see great opportunities. With our skills and innovative ideas, we can contribute to positive development. Our resilience, adaptability, and unwavering confidence in our values are our greatest strengths.
Artificial Intelligence: From Hype to Real Help
A central theme of the innos Days was Artificial Intelligence (AI) – a field with enormous growth potential in the coming years and decades. In our workshop, we explored how AI can ease our work life, make processes more efficient, and foster innovation. At the same time, we realized that it is not enough to learn how to use certain tools; it is also about using AI with the right standards and in line with our values. These and other questions cannot be answered in two days. We have taken the first step within the team. It is about the long-term perspective because AI is developing at an enormous speed – possibly much faster than the people who will use it. Only if we lay the foundation today will we be able to keep pace with the development in the future.
Laughter, Strikes, and Memories for the Team Album
Of course, the camaraderie outside the workshops was not neglected – and the team evening offered the perfect opportunity to celebrate the start of the new year together. After several project teams had already visited BrewDog Berlin for their respective team evenings, the location is no longer a secret tip among innosians. Where Berlin's largest gasworks supplied the city over 100 years ago, there is now an innovation quarter where the latest AI technologies are being developed. Even though the impressions from the previous workshop were a recurring topic of conversation, the specially designed photo booth quickly became the focus of the evening: From funny group pictures to creative solo snapshots – the memories created will make us laugh for a long time. To conclude the evening, it was time for bowling! In a cheerful atmosphere, strikes were cheered, narrowly missed pins were laughed at, and some hidden bowling pros were discovered. These shared moments – characterized by lightness, laughter, and togetherness – are an essential part of the innos Days. They show that team spirit at innos is not only felt in collaboration but also in the joy of shared experiences.
The Future Needs Orientation if We Want to Shape It
I look back with great enthusiasm on everything we have achieved together and look forward to implementing the ideas and measures we have developed in the coming months. Together, we are not only shaping the future of innos but also contributing to innovations that advance life in a sustainable society. AI will not be able to solve all the world's challenges, and certainly not without human intervention. Let us use technological achievements in such a way that we, as humans, come closer together – it only works together. These words are especially directed at the entire innos team, with whom I am privileged to enter another successful year. The cohesion, which becomes even stronger as the team grows, fills me with incredible pride.
Special thanks go to Jan Quaing for his extremely interesting and competent guidance through the AI workshop.
