Values work belongs in the hands of all innosians – innos summer days 2024

Values are the glue that holds us together as a team. The innos days are something very special for me every time, because they are driven by a lively exchange about how we can move innos forward together.

This year, we made a conscious decision to dedicate the entire first day exclusively to values work. Why? Because values are the foundation of our collaboration and should not be discussed behind closed doors. They belong in the hands of all of us! At innos, we live values such as transparency every day - and strive to constantly improve in this area.

KPI of the heart

A central innos value is already in the claim: "Enthusiasm is the beginning of everything." This value is the guiding principle of my actions and the compass that accompanies me in my daily work at innos. It's not enough to just write down values or pack them into pretty presentations - they have to be tangible, tangible and authentic. For new innosians in particular, it is crucial that our values are communicated clearly during the onboarding process and actively lived from the outset. After all, values provide orientation and act as an emotional corrective - or as I like to call it: the KPI of the heart.

Is there a one hundred percent implementation of our values in all areas? Probably not. But that is precisely the challenge. It's about continuously reinforcing our values so that they can form the basis for our decisions.

Values work is not a project with a clear beginning and end; it is an ongoing process that we shape together.

What we take with us

At the end of the day, we not only discussed values, but also developed concrete measures that we will implement in the near future:

  • Emphasize values more strongly in recruiting and create more interfaces in onboarding
  • Using existing exchange formats to reflect our values
  • How do we make values visible both internally and externally and create a uniform understanding?

The annual summer party

After 6.5 hours of productive work - and temperatures of over 30 degrees - it was time for a well-deserved cool-down at the summer party in the garden of our Göttingen office. With delicious food, refreshing drinks and entertaining party games, one thing was particularly noticeable: appreciation. It is this special innos value that connects us again and again, in projects, in everyday life and in social moments like these.

innos is more than the sum of its projects. In my view, every hour we spend together is a valuable investment in our future. We share a deep understanding of our values, which I could clearly feel again during the innos days.
