Navigator for transformation: Shaping upheaval together

The agricultural and food industry is undergoing a significant upheaval and is challenged more than ever to dare to do something new.

Climate, environmental and nature protection, healthy and affordable nutrition, and crisis resilience determine the direction of current and future political and social framework conditions. Society is also rightly demanding higher social standards. Social trends lead to corresponding consumer trends, and disruptive innovations can fundamentally change market conditions and existing business models.

This is a change that poses major challenges for players in the agriculture and food industry, but also offers unforeseen opportunities. The goal of a sustainable agricultural and food industry has been formulated, and the path to achieving it must be shaped jointly with all stakeholders.

We were excited by the participation process, as the desire of all stakeholders to shape the transformative path together was more than palpable.

We were allowed to go this way with the Cluster Ernährungswirtschaft Brandenburg. We researched, consolidated, condensed, interviewed, held workshops and conducted surveys. In the end, we talked to farmers, juice and meat producers, trade representatives, scientists, and put their diverse perspectives on how to sustainably shape the industry into a picture.

We were excited by the participation process because the desire of all stakeholders to shape the transformative path together was more than palpable.

We set the framework for action in the master plan. The paper serves as a navigator on the path and is intended to develop a dynamic in the cluster that translates good ideas into marketable innovations and makes the image of a more sustainable agriculture and food industry 2030 in Brandenburg a reality.
