ZIM Network for Lab-on-a-Chip Technologies

How do we achieve a high degree of automation and the greatest possible parallelization of many analysis steps – keyword "high content screening"?

Summary and integration of several analytical steps of classical and new laboratory analytics

Technology Management | ZIM – Network Application | Network for Lab on a Chip Technologies

Lab-on-a-chip approaches are understood as the combination and integration of several analytical steps of classical and new laboratory analytics on a glass, silicon or plastic chip. Since the market potential of lab-on-a-chip technologies has not yet been exploited due to technical barriers, we have established this network together with German and Dutch SMEs and research institutions.

As part of the network work, we support the partners in the preparation of funding applications at the state, federal and EU level. We develop the mission statement, vision and strategic goals of the network. We jointly define the economic goals (market and competition) and develop a value chain. The focus is on the development of point-of-care diagnostic systems as well as organ-on-a-chip systems as a substitute for animal testing.
