Funding project Wirkkette Laden

NOW GmbH's "Wirkkette Laden“ (charging chain) funding project is being launched to increase the market acceptance of electromobility. The aim is to improve the charging quality of electric vehicles by systematically analyzing the causes of faults in the effective chain.

Successful funding application leads to important cross-industry project

The project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVi) with a total of approximately €1.1 million, will start with 14 project partners. The funding guideline is coordinated by NOW GmbH and implemented by Projektträger Jülich (PtJ). CharIN e. V., as the consortium leader, will act as a neutral interface between all the players.

innos GmbH had initiated the funding application in the course of requests from CharIN e. V. and several other project partners. The project is now coordinated by CharIN e. V., for which innos GmbH manages the coordination office.

The aim is to identify and cluster problems during charging processes within the next 18 months in order to derive countermeasures. The project will provide industry with valuable and actionable recommendations on how to reduce the likelihood of disruptions during charging.

To understand the complex mechanisms during the charging process, the project takes a holistic approach that considers all relevant players in the charging ecosystem (car manufacturers, charging station manufacturers, charging station operators, e-mobility service providers and the grid).
