5th Lightweighting Summit: Lightweight construction as a transformation technology for the resource transition

The business office of the Lightweight Construction Initiative is delighted to be hosting the 5th Lightweighting Summit at Messe Hannover on April 23, 2024. "Lightweighting as a transformation technology for the resource turnaround" is the motto of the congress initiated by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) and, in its fifth edition, highlights the core objective of lightweight construction to save material, mass, and energy from an overarching perspective.

The main focus will be on how raw materials can be processed sustainably and fed back into the material cycle, accompanied by top-class keynote speeches and a diverse panel discussion.

This year, a new pitch format will also be introduced, in which innovative research projects, including those from the Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Recyclable Materials and Systems and the Alfred Wegner Institute, will be presented. The first results from the pilot study conducted by the Lightweighting Initiative, "Satellite Account Lightweighting," will also be presented.

The 5th Lightweighting Summit will take place on 23.04.2024 from 14:00-17:00 in Hall 19/20, Room "New York" at HANNOVER MESSE.

The office of the Lightweighting Initiative is looking forward to your visit!
