Hybrid & New Work – What? A week between Berlin and Göttingen

At innos, no two weeks are the same, and innosians' weeks are completely different too. Thanks to a hybrid, mobile working model, flexible working hours and various locations spread across Germany, we have the great freedom to adapt our environment to our needs on a daily basis.

And in the last week of autumnal October, that meant working from home on Monday and taking the train to Göttingen early on Tuesday (this time even on time and therefore super fast). Finally meeting my colleagues at the villa again! Lake was also there and patiently let us cuddle him 😍. For me, the Göttinger Villa means getting out of the hustle and bustle of Berlin and into a small town, soaking up the sun in the office garden and working in an almost stately atmosphere.

Dinner with the innosians from the various teams rounded off the day, which consisted of personal brainstorming, digital meetings with external service providers and the documentation of our results from the day. With Alexandra, who had also just arrived from near Regensburg, we then strolled through the old town to the hotel at the train station. It struck me how nice it can be when there are hardly any people on the streets at night.

The next morning, on the other hand, was super crowded - in a student city where it was Freshers' Week. Nevertheless, the walk through Göttingen in bright sunshine was like being on vacation. We chatted a bit and worked on the design for the next events, and then it was already time to head back to Berlin with André in the electric car. Lake used the charging time to go for a walk and I was able to grab a croissant. 🥐 In the car, we were able to plan our next workshop at the customer's premises. Traveling and working at the same time is a win-win situation, so the time flies by.

On Thursday, it was time to commute in Berlin: EUREF-Campus in the morning and then off to Oliver to the office at Kurfürstendamm with the best view over Berlin. This view is just great and is only made better by my favorite drink in autumn: Pumpkin Spice Latte. 🎃🥤

After so much variety, it was nice to be in the home office on Friday. Even if the coffee isn't quite as good there, I was able to concentrate on designing the week's open layouts and putting the finishing touches to the next communication concept.

A great and varied week, and the next one will be completely different again 😉...
